Skinny on FATs and Boosting your Immunity
When you hear the word "fat", what do you think of? Most of us think of a stick of butter, a greasy hamburger or excess body weight.
But did you know fat is very important to help keep our bodies healthy?
Dietary fats are divided into three main categories: saturated fats, monounsaturated fats, and polyunsaturated fats.
You will learn the difference between these so you can make healthy choices when consuming fats.
We will discuss what ratio of Omega 3 and Omega 6 should be in our diet.
Also, learn what fats and oils are best for pan frying, light sautéing and baking.
There will also be a discussion & activity about what foods boost your immunity.
