The public and media are invited to join First Lady Tonette Walker as she hosts a “Walk with Walker” event in Trego on Wednesday, June 20.
The First Lady will lead a 1-mile walk on the Trego Nature Trail to promote health and fitness as well as the State of Wisconsin. This is the 64th Walk with Walker event since 2011.
“I’m excited to visit Trego for this month’s Walk with Walker event,” said First Lady Walker. “These walks are a great way to explore all that Wisconsin has to offer.
Walk with Walker gives participants the chance to get moving while experiencing the natural beauty in their own community.”
Walk with Walker events are free and open to the public. They promote health and fitness while supporting tourism in Wisconsin by showcasing the state’s natural beauty.
These walks also provide participants with the unique opportunity to spend some time with the First Lady while enjoying Wisconsin’s treasured hiking experiences.
Participants are advised to bring the following items with them: good walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, insect repellant, appropriate outerwear for the weather, camera and water.
The event will be held rain or shine. Participants will gather at 9:30 a.m. at the above address to catch a shuttle to the Trego Nature Trail:
